Hi Keith,

Just a little note to "Thank You" for today's event and for the calls we got inviting my Dad, Darwin S. Gray, to the photo shoot today.  Even though there were some delays in getting everyone over to the hanger, we had a great time.

Seeing the hundreds of people that showed up, especially, when you only expected three hundred and something, was truly awe-inspiring.  It was a great adventure and we enjoyed the experiences we had today.   Sorry we weren't able to "Thank You" in person, we did, how ever, get to meet quite a few of the people (Gail Drews, Bob Hines, your daughter, who graciously gave me your e-mail address) that were involved in today's event.  Not to mention all the Vets, their family members, current enlistees, and the rest of the staff,  that was there, meeting and greeting everyone.  Please pass along our "Thanks" to the rest of your Team for us.   We're looking forward to the finished product.  If there is anything else we can do to help with this project, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Visionalist,

Congrats on a fabulous turnout for the photo.  I was reading an article about the budget constraints on this project.  It is so worthy it borders on public service. I would have happily donated a couple of bullhorns, and an adequate PA system. Bullhorns are impersonal and cliché but invaluable back up when directing large groups of people.
I can not wait to see the photo.  I also read that you lost your Dad, and I am so touched that you have made it possible for so many of us to see our loved ones get the recognition they deserve.  I wish I had some extra $ to invest.  I will give some thought to fundraising.
It’s a good deed that you are doing.

Thanks again,
Donna

Keith,

Thank you for doing this! I brought my 89 year old dad,Walter Moore. It was the most amazing experience. I still get chills when I tell my friends about the hundreds of veterans that waited, struggled to walk, but persevered to get the photo taken & the recognition that they so deserve. They truly are the greatest generation, they just don't make them like that anymore!! God bless you for organizing this!

By the way even though we had to wait in a long line for the bus, I never heard a vet complain around me!! We as caregivers worried about many of them knowing of health concerns & mobility worries, but it was just a wonderful experience and something great to be a part of.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Sincerely,

Laura
