"Detroit: Our Greatest Generation" is a primetime, hour long, commercial-free documentary produced by the seven-time Emmy award winning production company Visionalist Entertainment Productions.
Director/Producer Keith Famie, through exclusive personal interviews, will capture the emotional realities of pre and post WWII survivors of Detroit.
Who were these men and women that found themselves fighting for our freedom of America and how did their lives impact the city of Detroit?
Synopsis
Detroit: Our Greatest Generation, a 2009 holiday documentary airing on WDIV-TV4. A tribute to our Michigan WWII veterans, both men and women, who fought for the freedom of our families and our country. A generation of heroes, fading with time, leaving behind the memories to pass on to the next greatest generation. This one-hour, commercial-free film will document the impact the state of Michigan and Detroit had during the war, and how Detroit was honored with the moniker “The Arsenal of Democracy.”

Detroit: Our Greatest Generation film will benefit the Yankee Air Museum. All contributions are written to this 501(c)(3) organization. The project allows us, as a community, to say ‘thank you’ to our aging elder population, many of which make up our greatest generation. A 1940’s USO-themed VIP media premier event will take place in December, details announced soon.
